Tee It Up for Veterans Golf Tournament

On July 17, 2023, a group of local Colorado Veterans hosted the 2nd  “Tee it Up for Veterans” golf tournament benefiting Helping Heroes Colorado, a statewide advocate for Colorado’s veterans, service members, first responders and their families. Helping Heroes Colorado’s mission is to provide opportunities that improve the lives of trauma-exposed veterans and first responders through peer-to-peer support programs which foster camaraderie and healing. Helping Heroes Colorado aims to give back to the families of these heroes in a way that they deserve.

In August of this year, Helping Heroes Colorado is coordinating a 5-day outdoor retreat to include wilderness and communal experiences as therapeutic healing for U.S. veterans and active-duty service members. This program is unique among veterans and PTSD programs because it weaves wilderness therapy with philosophical discussions, physical challenges, and camaraderie in the outdoors. Read more…

Buffalo Hunt

Helping Heroes Colorado will be providing one lucky military veteran with combat trauma on an all-inclusive buffalo hunt to take place at Little Creek Ranch in Collbran, Colorado.

The three-day and two-night adventure will include a guided buffalo hunt, field dressing, caped hide, meat processing, food lodging and guide tip.

To raise money for this experience, Helping Heroes hosted a raffle of which a drawing took place on August 4, 2023. Kirby from Utah was the recipient of the drawing and he generously offered to donate the hunt to a worthy veteran.A special thanks to Kirby and Little Creek Ranch!
